Payment Systems
Compliance with international standards
In April 2012, the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) and the International Organization of Securities Commisions (IOSCO) issued the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI) to replace earlier framework/requirements. The report harmonizes and, where appropriate, strengthens the existing international standards for systemically important payment systems, central securities depositories, securities settlement systems, and central counterparties. In addition, the implementation of the PFMI on RENTAS is guided by the following documents:
- Guidance on cyber resilience for financial market infrastructure
- Principles for financial market infrastructures: disclosure framework and assessment methodology
- Application of the Principles for financial market infrastructures to central bank FMIs; and
- Assessment methodology for the oversight expectations applicable to critical service providers
