Pursuant to section 52 of the Central Bank of Malaysia Act 2009, the SAC at its 234^th SAC Meeting dated 25 September 2023 made a ruling in respect of the Anticipatory Hedging.

This SAC ruling aims to clarify the Shariah requirements on the application of Anticipatory Hedging in Islamic finance.

This SAC ruling comes into effect immediately upon its publication on Bank Negara Malaysia’s website on 29 May 2024.
