The Shariah Advisory Council of Bank Negara Malaysia (the SAC) 141st Meeting
The Shariah Advisory Council of Bank Negara Malaysia (SAC) held its 141st meeting on 26 November 2013. The meeting was the inaugural meeting for new SAC line up session 2013-2016. In the meeting, the SAC had unanimously agreed to elect Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar as the Chairman and Prof Madya Dr. Akram Laldin as the Deputy Chairman of the SAC for session 2013 - 2016.
SAC had approved the meeting procedures for the new session pursuant to Section 51 (2) of Central Bank of Malaysia Act 2009 that empowers the SAC to determine its own procedures. Among others, the meeting procedures serve as procedures for SAC to conduct its meeting and decision making mechanism.
SAC has also deliberated issues related to the Islamic financial transaction referred by the court
