The international reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia amounted to RM344.5 billion (equivalent to USD113.8 billion) as at 31 March 2011. The reserves level as at 31 March 2011 has taken into account the quarterly adjustment for foreign exchange revaluation. The reserves position is sufficient to finance 8.4 months of retained imports and is 4.3 times the short-term external debt.
