This Policy Document outlines the requirements and expectations that financial service providers (FSPs) must meet to ensure that financial consumers, especially those in unserved and underserved segments, have access to essential banking services at low cost. It mandates that FSPs to offer Basic Banking Services (BBS) to a list of eligible financial consumers and specifies the features and services required to be offered with BBS products.
