The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), today published a playbook titled 'Building Supply Chain Resilience: Insights into Greening Value Chains for ASEAN'.

The playbook is one of the key documents released as part of the ASEAN 2025 Finance Track’s Priority Economic Deliverables. It serves as a practical guide for businesses, industry players, multilateral development institutions, and policymakers in designing programmes that support businesses to accelerate decarbonisation and strengthen supply chain resilience.

The playbook draws insights from Malaysia’s Greening Value Chain (GVC) pilot programme by the Joint Committee on Climate Change (JC3) which aims to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia to adopt low-carbon practices and implement long-term sustainable practices.

Rolled out in 2023, the GVC programme offers SMEs access to technical training, practical tools for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and financing facilities at competitive rates through the Low Carbon Transition Facility (LCTF).
